Rear panel shown with optional dual coupler board installed. Everything you need for critical station monitoring, tuning and protection on one screen. This is by far the best display for tuning a manual tuner, without having to change display mode for normal operation. It is also the only meter with 11 bands of frequency indexed NIST traceable calibration points using a built-in frequency counter. Plus, the LP A has additional modes no other wattmeter has when you desire them Dual Coupler Option Two couplers Better than “paralleled” couplers because the couplers are isolated from each other, and each has its own Calibration table. How you’ll do that depends on your vehicle.
Servicing Fender Amplifiers This is my Fender amp servicing guide. I developed this service guide after many years of servicing Fender Vintage amplifiers. Many Fenders used the same circuit inside with just a few different parts in the same spot on the board. You don’t need a special service guide for each amp to be able to service a Deluxe Reverb, Super Reverb, Pro reverb or any of the vintage fender amps.
Before doing any service work on an amplifier, you must make sure the amplifier is unplugged from the wall and the filter caps are drained. Filter caps can hold a charge that can give you a severe shock. The easiest way to drain your filter caps is to warm up the amp and then play the amp. Do not shut the amp off with the power switch or the standby switch. Just unplug the amp from the wall and keep strumming your guitar until the sound dies away.
Once the sound dies down, the voltage in the filter caps will be below a level that can hurt you. There will still be a small voltage present in the caps but it is not enough to give you a nasty shock. Typically there is less than 20 volts is in the filter cap after draining it this way. Follow along with the instructions below by referring to the Fender Layout diagram on this page.
Consequently, the RV stays parked most of the time. Knowing that this isn’t healthy for it, so I start it up weekly, along with the generator. I also try to drive it once a month to keep the transmission and tires happy. The previous time I started the engine, it cranked a little slow but fired up after a couple of seconds. I’ve only had this since last August, so I didn’t have any prior experience starting a V in anything but very warm weather.
Your CB will run just fine off of the power from the 12v power supply plug but if you are mounting the CB permanently, you might want to consider wiring the CB into the accessory wiring harness. Not something we will get into here but we will say, keep the inline fuse in place and DO NOT hook up the polarity backwards!
An essential part of building any sort of chopper, bobber, cafe racer, brat bike, or rat rod is getting rid of all the unnecessary items. You might have checked the wiring diagram for your bike already and seen something like this: The above diagram is from a Honda CB Custom dual cam bike. A lot of the controls can be removed, blinkers, gauges and indicators, relays and switches. Below is a generic wiring diagram I whipped up that can be used as a guideline. This diagram is setup to run a headlight and brake light, keep your battery charged, and have a keyed ignition.
Staying in contact with your fellow truckers is still a great way to know whats down the road. To do this requires a strong radio. The strongest ones are the 10 meter versions. For its power and modulation it is hard to beat, especially for the professional trucker.

Motorcycle Wiring Joe Tessitore is a strange guy. Most bike builders hate working with motorcycle wiring, but not Joe. The most overlooked, forgotten, or avoided aspect of building a custom motorcycle has to be the electrical system. You can spend lots of time and money building a high performance engine or sculpting beautiful lines. This takes the AC current produced by the stator and changes it to DC current to charge the battery.
It will also keep the voltage from getting too high and frying your system. Most often you can find it under the seat area or under one of the side covers. The old ones worked poorly to begin with, and chances are, the stock one is dead or on its way out. Replacing points with electronic ignitions. These send the signal to the coils telling them when to fire the spark plugs.
While a traditional points ignition works fine when adjusted properly, it does require periodic maintenance and the know-how to get it dialed in just right.

This agreement provides interference-free operation for all operators by separating the far more powerful SSB stations from the AM stations. Reality is far different:
Jul 30, · Is it better to hook up the black power wire to the negative battery terminal or to the chassis ground? I have a Cobra 75WXST. The cobra directions aren’t that clear. They lead me to believe I should ground it which I did at the ground point on the firewall that is also grounded to the hood. Im using 14gauge wire to power the CB. I also.
Overview The psus on naim amps are always tempting to mod or diy as they appear simple but are actually a bugger to get right. Its easy to spend hundreds on making one that sounds no better than the powerrail off a Naim poweramp- I have several toroids and dozens of regulators and reservoir caps to prove the point. Once you know what to look for however, its not difficult to make a better one for a fraction of the cost of a naim psu.
Probably also why they are so attractive to the modder. Essentially they consist of transformer, reservoir caps, rectifiers and regualtors. IMO the regualtors are the dominant factor affecting sound quality of the psu but transformers also have a part to play as does getting the earthing right. I have found reservoir caps and the rectifiers to be of minor importance as long as they are of good industrial quality. Bear also in mind that Julian Vereker once stated that for power transmission low impedance is critical and for signal transmission low capacitance.
This is principally because off the shelf toroids are useless from an audio point of view and unless you know how to specify a custom one you’ll probably get nothing better. However a good transformer can make a significant contribution to sound quality, giving a bolder, more vibrant and solid presention with ‘darker’ backgrounds and more instrumental seperation. Size is around VA. My advice is to get a C-core from avondale or R-core from Hifi tuning see components page.
Otherwise custom specify but then you’re sort of on your own. So anything you can look for?
The following description applies to most cassette and open reel tape transports including those used in portable and microcassette recorders, Walkmen, and telephone answering machines. Looking at the top of the deck such that the tape heads are at the bottom: Supply reel table – left hand side platform on which the supply tape reel sits.

The majority of CB radios have two wires, a positive wire red and a negative wire black.
The positive wire needs a To do this often will require more wire than is provided with your CB radio. If you choose to wire your radio using this method you will want to make sure that any extra wire you purchase is of the same gauge or larger than the original manufacturer’s wire. Also, if adding additional wire to the stock wiring make sure you use solid connectors that completely cover and protect any connections from being exposed.
If wiring to the battery you will also want to wire in fuses of proper amperage directly at the battery. The reason for this is because your long length of wire will most likely be going through the firewall and in between many different pieces of metal. If at any time there is a short anywhere along this run of wire the fuses directly at the battery will help prevent the possibility of an open circuit and risk of fire.
I received additional help from both of these two gentleman and a special extra thanks, it was greatly appreciated. The problem with your radio is C It is a small blue tantalum cap right between the two wires that permit adjusting the bias to the finals. It shorts all the time.

Only one thing you would need to do: Put a diode on the circuit from the add-a-circuit fuse to terminal 86 of the relay. The reason for this is simple if you look at your wiring diagram. The high beam and low beam both share a common ground in the bulb. Without a diode it is possible for power from the high beam to “backfeed” into the low beam fused circuit through the low beam filament. This would attempt to energize the relay, causing possible erratic operation.
I wonder if this was my issue I was having recently. I saw someone suggest the samething but, I’ve had my lights wired up for quite some time this way.
Features a carefully selected 12AX7 vacuum tube with UTC technology for exceptional warmth and lowest noise. Thus the Behringer MIC can be used to eliminate the “dull” sound of standard digital recorders and sound cards. Also, it perfectly complements studio-grade condenser microphones. They also re-close to make a circuit after the fault is removed. To enable this open and close operation, it is operated by either a remote relay or a local switch. A remote relay is located at a remote location such as a control room while the switch is located inside the circuit breaker junction box. Understanding the breaker scheme is important if you plan on designing a substation. Quite often, it is overwhelming to make sense of the entire scheme at a glance.
Close and Trip Circuit of a Breaker Forms of Contact Before explaining what each device in the scheme does, understanding the different forms of auxiliary contact is necessary. When the breaker is closed, the 52a contacts are closed. Apart from breaker contacts, you will see relays such as anti-pump relay 52Y, low gas relay 63X, under voltage relay 27 etc in the breaker scheme.
The contacts from each of these relays are interlocked with other relays in such a way that they either permit or not permit the breaker operation. Circuit Breaker Trip Coil Figure 1 depicts a trip coil of the breaker. For brevity, I will cover the trip coil no.
If you get no reading, wiggle, squeeze, squish, and otherwise abuse the cord both at the wall wart end and at the device end. You may be able to get it to make momentary contact and confirm that the adapter itself is functioning. The most common problem is one or both conductors breaking internally at one of the ends due to continuous bending and stretching.
Powering Your CB Radio Almost all CB radios come with an unprocessed power line, which consists of a ground and a hot wire. Getting power to your CB radio can be a little tricky.
Introduction In the ‘s Yeasu produced the FT series which were well received by the amateur community. Using easy to repair or modify plug-in boards. Regrettably, perfectly fine radios are currently being systematically ‘cannabalized’ and parted out. His website article provides some very nice pictorials of his conversion.

Three other components are also changed in the screen grid circuit, and a trimmer capacitor added if 10 meter operation is desired. Two regulator board capacitors also need upgrading.
